Help Light Up The Lives of a Local Military Family

With almost 200,000 members of the military deployed overseas this Christmas season, many families will be left preparing for the holidays without their loved ones. Mothers, fathers, daughters, and sons won’t be home to hang their stockings or string up lights with the rest of their families. Because of everything these brave men and women sacrifice for us every day, Christmas Decor by Bama Exterminating loves to do something special for them. Every holiday season, our team here at Christmas Decor by Bama Exterminating offers our resources, time and products to spread cheer and decorate the homes of local military families for free as part of the Decorated Family Program.

The Decorated Family Program

The Decorated Family Program started in 2003 after several caring branches suggested at a holiday dinner party that we do our part to pay back those who serve. They give us all so much to be thankful for, so it’s our duty to return the favor the best way we know how. This idea quickly caught on among Christmas Decor franchisees nationwide, becoming a tradition we carry on to this day. This year, the national franchise’s goal is to attract as many nominations as possible and decorate at least 200 deserving military homes across the nation! As a part of the Christmas Decor national franchise, we are proud to have found a way to give back to our selfless neighbors and community members—after all, what else are the holidays for?

Want To Take Part?

If you know a deserving military family with members overseas this holiday season, nominate them for our program and share their story with us. Let us know how much they mean to you, and tell us why you think they’d be the perfect candidate for a holiday surprise! From now until November 11, 2017, you can nominate deserving families in your community through the form on Christmas Decor’s Facebook page.

Winners will be selected based both on location (to ensure there is a Christmas Decor franchise close enough to award them) and the impact of their story on the judges. Take a moment to make sure you really show us why the family you’ve nominated deserves consideration!

We know that many parts of the country don’t have a large presence of active duty military families, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other opportunities for us to give back. In the past, we’ve also decorated charitable organizations like Ronald McDonald houses, as well as the homes of WWII veterans, as an extension of the Decorated Family Program.

Do you know an active duty military family that could use some extra cheer this year?
